One round of the Stonebridge championship will give the player a feeling that this is a special place. Golf course architect Richard B. Osborne is known for his ability to work hand-in-hand with Mother Nature and he has done so stunningly at Stonebridge. Rather than having to shoehorn a golf course into a residential development, his mission was to begin with over 650 untouched acres and find the golf course that was already there. The difference in approach is amazing. Evidence of Mr. Osborne's naturalist style can also be seen in the naturally beautiful courses of Cypress Lakes in Australia, Cheval Polo & Golf Club in Flordia, and Nevel Meade in Kentucky.

As is his signature, Osborne designed the Stonebridge course not only for breathtaking vistas, but for play that can be enjoyed by both occasional players and those whose experience level dictates greater challenges. The Course will be sufficiently challenging and interesting to support all levels of competitive play.

Measuring 6950 yards from championship tees, the Stonebridge plays to par 72 through gently rolling rich Carolina forest land. The design includes greens complexes built to USGA specifications with bent grass putting surfaces.

At Stonebridge we take practice seriously. The practice facility at Stonebridge Golf Club is large enough to support 60 players on the main tee with enough surface to support quality turfgrass throughout the year. Seperate areas have also been designated for private instruction, clinics, chipping and sand play.

All in all, the Stonebridge course is simply what you would expect from a club where the standards are never less than perfection -- 18 holes of paradise.
